Wave Bench

The Wave Bench is the anchor of the Zevar collection. Its surface is built from a single repeating unit — the lathe-turned, lacquered wooden bead — assembled the way a mala is strung, so the seat reads as jewellery scaled to the body.

The lacquered wood carries the doll-making ethic of Etikoppaka, Andhra Pradesh, a craft sustained through family workshops and intergenerational practice. The stainless steel structure beneath gives it the precision of machine work. Craft precision and design play, in one object.

Each piece can be uniquely customised to its patron — the collection offers innumerable variations in colour, spacing and topology.
